Vinette (“the App”, “we”) is made by BORABADA. Vinette works without accounts and keeps your diaries on your device. This policy explains what the App does, and does not, collect.
Your pages, diaries, page history, the photos you add and the text you write are stored on your iPhone or iPad. We run no servers for your diaries and cannot see, collect or access any of it. Vinette also backs up your diaries to your own iCloud Drive once a day and keeps the newest five backups (Settings › Your pages › iCloud backup, where you can turn “Back up every day” off). Those files are stored under your Apple Account; we have no access to them either.
When you add a photo, you choose it with the iOS photo picker; the App only receives the photos you pick. Cutting a subject out of a photo runs entirely on your device. If you save a page or a time-lapse video to Photos, the App asks for permission to add to your library and never reads it.
Vinette Club is optional. Payments are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to check your subscription status; it receives a randomly generated user identifier and your App Store purchase information, not your name or contact details. RevenueCat’s privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
You can watch a short video to use 1 sticker from a locked kit, up to 8 videos a day. Parts you place stay on your page. These videos are served by Google AdMob. Ads are always requested as non-personalized, and when the App is used by a child they are also marked as child-directed and limited to general-audience content. The App does not track you and never asks to. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google serves limited ads, which use no personalization. To deliver and measure the ad, Google may process information such as your IP address (which gives an approximate location), device identifiers and how you interacted with the ad. To report an ad, use Settings › Help & about › Report an ad. How Google uses this information: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites · Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
The first time you start a video, a purchase or a link that leaves the App, the App asks for a birth year once. The year itself is never stored or sent anywhere; the App keeps only whether you are under 13, on your device, to choose the right kind of videos and to put a grown-up check in front of purchases and links that leave the App.
If you turn on new kit alerts, the App schedules local notifications on your device for the moment a new kit comes out. No push server is involved.
New sticker kits reach the App from Apple’s iCloud servers (CloudKit), whether or not you are signed in to iCloud. Like any download, Apple receives your IP address to send the files; the App sends no account, identifier or diary content, and the files are stickers and their descriptions only. Apple handles this under its privacy policy.
If you turn on App lock, iOS checks your Face ID, Touch ID or passcode. The App only learns whether the check succeeded; it never receives your biometric data.
Only two outside services receive data from the App: RevenueCat, for subscription status, and Google AdMob, for the videos. Each receives only what is described above. We work only with services that protect your data to the same or an equal standard as this policy, and each handles it under its own privacy policy, linked above. Apple processes payments, stores your iCloud backups and delivers new kits under Apple’s privacy policy. If you write to us from Settings › Help & about, we receive your email address, your message and the app version, iOS version and device model the App fills in, and use them only to answer you.
We do not use accounts or logins. We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we share none beyond what this policy describes. We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Your diaries stay until you delete them. Deleted pages and diaries are kept in the trash for 30 days, then removed for good from the device; copies inside your iCloud backups stay until newer backups replace them or you delete those backup files in the Files app. Deleting the App removes everything stored on the device. Settings › Your pages › Export all pages lets you take a copy of your pages at any time. We run no servers and keep no data about you, apart from emails you send us. RevenueCat keeps your random identifier and purchase records while they are needed to provide your subscription, and Google keeps ad data for the periods set out in its privacy policy. To have the records RevenueCat holds for you deleted, email us at the address below; we may ask for the order ID on Apple’s purchase receipt to find them. The App contacts Google only after you tap a locked sticker, where the video is offered; if you don’t, Google receives nothing from the App.
Vinette can be used by children with a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children: the diaries stay on the device, ads are non-personalized and child-directed for children, and purchases and external links sit behind a grown-up check.
If this policy changes, the new version will appear in the App with a new date.
